Welcome

Welcome to Derek and Karen's travel blog. We hope you will enjoy following our journey around Australia the slow way. We will try to keep our blog entertaining for you with our photography and highlights and the occasional lowlights (hopefully not too many of those). We have a couple of adds on the right that you are more than welcome to click on to view, that will help us along the way. The add about the Amazon Kindle is about our favourite choice of ebook that we read for at least 2 hours every day. We have a Kindle each and down load all sorts of books to read on them. So we hope you enjoy our blogs.

Health is improving every day

Today is a rest day here at the Dam. Derek and I did all the mowing yesterday due to club members arriving here tomorrow, Friday for the weekend. After the 2 hours of mowing I did I thought I would be stuffed and not be able to move today. But I woke up and did our usual morning things until lunchtime before I realized that I was not at all sore or achy from yesterday's workout. I have however been drinking Organic Aloe Vera juice that I order in, due to not being able to buy the top quality Aloe juice any other way. And I am 100% sure that it is giving me the energy and strength and now even the wellness to cope better with airborn toxins.
I wish some one told me about Aloe Vera Juice 2 years ago, better now than never. Here's to good health!

If you want good health also, just click onto the link above to order your own Aloe Vera juice to be delivered to you monthly. Cheaper that way. Derek and I go through a litre a week, so we get 4 bottles a month. Much better than poppin man made vitamin pills. You are worth having the best of health. That's for sure.
This is an interesting book to read on your Amazon Kindle and it is only about $1.10
Cheap hey.
I have read 6 books so far and they are all about improving your health.
Derek is on his 12th book, he loves the novels and they all cost around $10 each. That is the new releases, the older books are a lot cheaper still or free even.

This friendly fellow comes and listens to me every day. I don't know if it is a male or female so I named it "Charlie"

That same view, now the 8th of Jan 2011.
The water level is now down to where we can drive on our road again.
The Midgies and Mozzies are very fierce and not scared of our non-toxic repellent.

Lake Maraboon during the rains and full flood. This is the view from the Water Sports Club house balcony.
This is the same view after the rains have stopped. Lake Maraboon is a very beautiful man made lake. Well known for the Red Claw and great fishing, also a top spot for water skiing.
Our road is still underwater, thank goodness we have our shopping trolley (Suzuki 4x4) Nugget, to drive through the rough bush track up the back way in and out for "must do" trips into town.
We can't wait till this road is open so the rubbish truck can come and empty a months worth of club members garbage. Boy does it stink and we have to live near it. The birds do love the maggots that wriggle out from under the big lids though. Yes I know, disgusting.

Water level is now dropping slowly in Fairbairn Dam. Still have no road to drive out on but it is dropping.
