This Ghost Gum has it's roots partly exposed from a flood 50 plus years ago. You can walk through the root under the tree.

There is about 6 of these huge murals in the small town of Bingara.

This mural in on the side wall of one of the pubs. The murals are absolutely fabulous. The area is also famous for the diamonds and gold and Jasper and many other finding here.

We are now parked at Bingara for a couple of days. It is a pretty little town with the usual large clock tower in the middle on the main street on a the main intersection. There was only one shop open in the whole town and the staff were working flat out making their famous burgers with the lot. We only went in there for a small bottle of Coke for Derek to have with his Scotch for later this afternoon sundowner.

 The photo below plus this one to the right were taken from the top of the mountain to the east of Bingara. The road up to the top way so steep we had to drive up there in first gear and come down in the same gear with the brakes on hard also. I think that would be the only drive up that road we will ever want to do. The brave can walk it, I will need to do that on my hands and knees. Too steep for me, all 1.5k's of it.
P.S. You will never find me walking up that hill. Just thought I should clarify that.

There is derek adding a loop so we can hook a strap and have it come down over the centre of the new awning so when the wind blows up too strong the awning is ankered down in the centre as well as each end. We have also added two poles to help support the 23 foot long awning

This is the view we wake up to every morning. Yes that is little rapids down there just before the bridge. The only traffic that goes over this bridge is very local, only about a dozen homes on farm blocks with horses on that side of the river. So we live in amazing quiet at night and a little noise through the day.

This is where we will be based for the next two years. We just love the river, always has ducks swimming around and lots of other birds too. Most of the time we have the area to ourselves. It is called Paradise, but I think it is heaven.

Lake Keepit is large enough to have a good sail on it, plus waterski and fishing.
