Welcome to Derek and Karen's travel blog. We hope you will enjoy following our journey around Australia the slow way. We will try to keep our blog entertaining for you with our photography and highlights and the occasional lowlights (hopefully not too many of those). We have a couple of adds on the right that you are more than welcome to click on to view, that will help us along the way. The add about the Amazon Kindle is about our favourite choice of ebook that we read for at least 2 hours every day. We have a Kindle each and down load all sorts of books to read on them. We have no new news at this moment. So I thought I should share a photo we took of this young male humpback whale last year in August at Hervey Bay, Qld. He came up from under the whale watching boat and I scored a lovely series of shots of him. This one is him inhaling before disappearing down under again.
I call this photo, "Whale back riding".
If you have the time, do go to Hervey Bay in September or October to go out on one of the boats. It is worth the trip.
