Welcome to Derek and Karen's travel blog. We hope you will enjoy following our journey around Australia the slow way. We will try to keep our blog entertaining for you with our photography and highlights and the occasional lowlights (hopefully not too many of those). We have a couple of adds on the right that you are more than welcome to click on to view, that will help us along the way. The add about the Amazon Kindle is about our favourite choice of ebook that we read for at least 2 hours every day. We have a Kindle each and down load all sorts of books to read on them. Second day of our journey

 We are parked behind the Central Highlands Watersports Club house on the northern banks of Lake Maraboon, close to Fairbairn Dam spillway. 

Our little home is very quiet and private. We do however share it with a lovely chorus of various parrots and nightly frogs in full song. The only time we have to share with humans is when the club members have booked the house for the weekend. That is not possible now til the water level drops. We can drive out of here with our little Suzuki 4x4 only. The old track is overgrown and very boggy but can be done if we realy have to leave for food.
